Graduate Accepted into Scribe’s New Film Scholars Program

One of Documentary Storymaking’s  first graduates, Drew Swedberg, has been accepted into the inaugural cohort of Scribe’s new Film Scholars Program.  Swedberg, who received Muhlenberg’s James D. Schneider Social Justice Award in 2017, will participate in a series of video-making training workshops to support new documentary media making.   Swedberg first encountered Scribe in Philadelphia through a Documentary Storymaking sponsored visit in Spring 2017 to see documentary filmmaker and director Kirsten Johnson.  “I am incredibly excited about this opportunity to learn and grow in a new environment and around a talented community of filmmakers. I look forward to coming back to Pennsylvania to pursue a life dedicated to documentary work.” More about Scribe’s new program can be found at http://www.scribe.org/film-scholars-program.
